A little help
getting started.

Android beta, made for NUST H-12, Islamabad. A few rough edges, plenty of personality.

How do I install the Android beta?
  1. Tap Download for Android on your phone. Wait for the 143 MB APK to finish downloading.
  2. Open the file from your browser’s downloads. If Android asks, allow that browser to install this app, then tap Install.
  3. Open Mewgshot, continue with Google and choose your keeper name. You’re ready to meet the cats.

Coming from Instagram? If the download won’t open, open this page in your phone’s browser and try again. This build is for ARM64 Android phones.

Can I print the cat IDs?

Yes. Create the card in Mewgshot and save or print the file. Choose the wallet-size student card or the smaller collar card. Print on A4 at 100% / actual size, with background graphics on and headers and footers off. The file includes both sides and a size guide.

For a collar card, use a lightweight, waterproof holder on a well-fitting breakaway collar. Keep the QR clear and check it scans in Mewgshot before fitting it.

What do I need to use it?

The shared register needs an internet connection and Google sign-in. Camera and location permissions are requested when you use features that need them.

Can I grade any cat straight away?

Meet the cat and log a sighting first. Then you can add grades and reviews. Their CGPA stays provisional until five keepers have rated them.

Are the map locations live?

The map shows last-seen blocks and sighting times. Cats may have moved. Feed and pet logs are interactions people entered, not a complete care history.

Already have Mewgshot?

Use the app’s update prompt, or install the current APK over your existing copy. Don’t uninstall first. The current release is v0.1.13; Android Settings shows version 0.1.13.

What about iPhone or another campus?

iOS is coming very soon! Follow @mewgshot.app (opens a new tab) on Instagram in the meantime for the launch announcement. The Android beta is available now, and the map and register are built for NUST H-12.
